Strength and Power Definition
Strength: Strength is something that can be generated by using the maximum force of a muscle or muscle group. Generally, Strength means having the capacity of lifting heavy stuff. If a person has good strength he can lift the heavier weight effortlessly in compared to the person who has good power but poor strength.
Power: The power is more like force where it has speed but combined. Power is the rate at which any work is produced, that means power has a time component to it. Take Manny Pacquiao for example. A lot of power in his punches yet his strength probably doesn’t even compare to bodybuilders or foot ballplayers.
What is the difference between strength and power?
Some people believe that strength and power are the same things but in general, they are not necessarily the same. If you’re a gym-goer and you lift weight in the gym, I’m sure you work on increasing your strength and power both.
Strength is the amount of force which generate by using a muscle or muscles group to lift a heavier weight or stuff. Increasing muscular strength means increasing the amount of resistance. Resistance exercise specifically focuses on improving muscle strength, muscle endurance and help you gets stronger.
The most common way to measure muscular strength by estimating a person’s one-repetition maximum or one-rep max (1RM). One-rep max means the heavier or the maximum amount of weight one can lift, push or pull in one reputation without failure or injury.

We can say Power is the amount of speed or energy at which any work is produced, that means power has a time component to it. In general, Power is the ability to generate as much force as possible at a higher speed. Power needs both strength and speed to develop force quickly and get the work done promptly. The power is mostly needed to a boxer to punch hard and fast, power requires to baseball players the hit the ball hard; power is needed to a golfer to hit the ball hard etc.
Power comes from muscles and we can measure power by using simple formula i.e. energy/time. The power measure in watts and an average person generate 100w/day power. for example: if a person consumes 2500 calories then he generates 121.5 watts. (Source)

Who needs maximum strength and power?
